Plastira's Museum

In the village of Morfovouni, the Plastiras Museum is dedicated to the life and work of Nikolaos Plastiras, also known as “The Black Rider”, a famous Greek general and politician but also the person who first conceived the idea of the creation of a lake in the region. Documents, photographs and personal objects allow the visitor to find out different aspects of the life of Nicholas Plastiras. Moreover, since 1994, in the village of Morfovouni, the Center of Historical Studies "Nikolaos Plastiras" develops extensive activities for the promotion of the region. The Museum is daily open to visitors (schools, touristic groups and individuals).
